Breaking a block

2/28, California, I will be signing at Barnes & Noble, 4001 California Avenue Bakersfield, CA 93309, (661) 631-2575 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening. Everyone who shows up will get a free ASHFALL bookmark!

3/4, Indiana, I’m signing at Barnes & Noble, 14790 Greyhound Plaza, Carmel, IN 46032, (317) 844-2501 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon. This is a huge event that includes many local young adult and middle grade authors, including Shannon Lee Alexander, D. Andrew Campbell, Robert Kent, Laura Martin, Emma Mills, Saundra Mitchell, Sharon Biggs Waller, and Francesca Zappia. Most of them will be onhand from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., but I have to leave at 3:00 p.m. due to a previous engagement. Everyone who shows up while I’m there will get a free ASHFALL bookmark.

3/16, Kentucky, Scott County Public Library, 104 South Bradford Lane, Georgetown, KY 40324, (502) 863-3566. I’ll present “The Big Boom: What Will Happen to Georgetown if the Yellowstone Supervolcano Erupts?” from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. I’ll sign books immediately following the event. Every attendee will get a free ASHFALL bookmark. (And I’ll sign those, too, if you like.)

5/6, Indiana, I’m signing at Kids Ink Children’s Bookstore, 5619 N. Illinois Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208 (317) 255-2598 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. to celebrate Children’s Book Week. More info TBA.

7/20 – 7/22, Indiana, I’ll be on the faculty at the Midwest Writers Workshop. I’ll lead an intensive session in writing young adult novels on Thursday and give several presentations Friday and Saturday. A limited number of people can also sign up to have me critique the first five pages of their novel for an extra fee. Registration is required. More info here.
